Christmas Past

Another Christmas has come and gone. Hope your Christmas was as wonderful as mine . The highlight of my Christmas this year happened the Sunday before Christmas. My sister Pat invited me and my two other sisters and our spouses for dinner at her house. We had such a great time laughing and reminiscing about our childhood. It was great to be with all the "Underwood girls" once again. I hope this was the start of a new Christmas tradition.

I made this layout for the Scrap Shack. I used Pink Paslees'  Mistletoe Collection with a few other papers and embellishments added in. I have always loved this photo of Katelin when she was a little girl. It was a spontaneous shot that captured the true meaning of Christmas. I just wished I had had a better camera at the time.

2009 Christmas card

My Christmas cards for this year were a hybrid of digital and traditional techniques.  I used a photo my. brother-in-law took of me, Dale, and Katelin. I work in PSE7 on a Dell laptop. First I converted the photo to B&W then selected the santa hats and recolored them. I added Christmas brushes I purchased from House of 3 changing the color to white. I finished it off with adding "Merry Christmas" using a font called Beyond Wonderland. I got the color of the font by selecting the red from the santa hats. I didn't take any photos of the cards I sent out. Each one was a little different .
